The American Catholic Girl's Guide to Getting Married!

Displaced Alabama Catholic: On April 2, 1989 when I was 19 years old I was accepted into the Roman Catholic Church. If I had known then what I know now... or if I had been older and wiser at the time... maybe I would never have done that. If the American leadership of the Catholic Church was even truly *trying* to be what it was called to be-- if the Church was actually following its own teachings-- then I would not be so freaking frustrated, and frankly, heartbroken.
